As the founder of Kim Aitch’s Camera Ready™, Kim leads a creative beauty and image team providing hairstyling, makeup, wardrobe, production, education, and event experiences. The Camera Ready philosophy is simple: Be You. Be Beautiful. Be Camera Ready.
Kim is also the creator and host of Shear Impact™, a media and community platform exploring beauty and barbering beyond the chair. Through conversations centered on connection, community, culture, and commerce, Shear Impact brings beauty professionals together with healthcare leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, educators, and community advocates. Its mission is to recognize salons and barbershops as trusted spaces where conversations about health, wealth, identity, leadership, and opportunity can begin.
Kim is a local hair expert who often appears on Isiah Uncensored, where she shares her insight on hairstyling, beauty, image, and the cultural impact of the beauty industry.
Her commitment to health equity is deeply rooted in service. As a former president of Citywide Beauticians and Barbers Association, Kim helped connect beauty professionals with medical research, education, and paid community-health opportunities. She has participated in initiatives addressing colorectal cancer, peripheral artery disease, and other health concerns affecting underserved communities.
Kim is also the creator of Glow Aromatherapy Skin Conditioner™, inspired by her experience caring for her father during his journey with dementia. Glow combines intentional aromatherapy with purposeful skin conditioning to nurture the skin, calm the mind, and restore the glow.
Whether she is behind the chair, on camera, producing an event, interviewing a community leader, or helping a woman redefine her image, Kim’s work is grounded in one belief: beauty is not simply how you look—it is how you connect with yourself, recognize your value, and confidently show up in the world.
